The CTA has secured $120 million in federal funds to move forward with its four-year, $492 million project to renovate North Side Blue Line stations, Mayor Emanuel and U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx will announce Thursday morning.
Thirteen Blue Line stations between downtown and O'Hare International Airport will get refurbished as part of the project, which will be paid for with federal, state and local funds.
