Q1 2015 Ratings: CNN Has Biggest Lead on MSNBC in 8 Years

CNN finished No. 2 in cable news for the first quarter of 2015 in both total viewers and the key A25-54 demo. CNN beat MSNBC in the demo by the biggest quarterly difference in more than 8 years, since 3Q 2006. CNN is up the most in primetime, up +11% in the demo compared to Q1 2014. The ratings for Q1 2015: Primetime (Mon-Sun): 535,000 Total Viewers / 187,000 A25-54 Total Day (Mon-Sun): 466,000 Total Viewers / 147,000 A25-54 CNN was up double digits, posting the most total day growth in cable news: up +22% in viewers and up +20% in the demo.
