Project Almanac Director In Line To Helm 'Power Rangers' Reboot

Good news for longtime Power Ranger fans as The Wrap reports that Project Almanac director Dean Israelite is in “advanced negotiations” with Lionsgate and Saban Films to helm the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers reboot set for a summer 2016 release. Saban Brands and Lionsgate are co-producing the reboot that would be based off the first season of Power Rangers where “five teenagers from Angel Grove are chosen by a celestial being known as Zordon to become a team of superheroes that battle the evil space witch Rita Repulsa and her band of minions from taking over the planet earth.
