Feminist activist and author Gloria Steinem's new book, My Life On The Road, documents the writer's international travels and her efforts to be a "catalyst for change."
On the dedication page for the book, Steinem thanks the person that she considers to be instrumental in helping her live out her dreams: Dr. John Sharpe, who assisted 22-year-old Steinem in obtaining an illegal abortion.
