(Reuters) - The waters of the Cedar River are expected on Tuesday to hit their highest level in nearly a decade, putting strain on a sprawling network of flood barricades in Iowa's second-largest city of Cedar Rapids.
Residents are being told they must evacuate their homes in Palo near Cedar Rapids due to flooding, a TV station tweeted Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service expects Cedar River to crest Tuesday afternoon in Cedar Rapids.
