Big rig on fire causes shutdown on Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

A big rig caught fire about 8 a.m. Tuesday on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge, officials said. The the tractor-trailer blaze broke out in about the middle of the crossing, prompting a shutdown of all eastbound traffic on the lower deck, said Officer Kevin Bartlett of the California Highway Patrol. The extent of the fire and damage will be determined once officers arrive on scene, Bartlett added.
