Parents Are Sharing Their Saddest Breakfasts In Response To Comedian’s Tweet

To be a parent is to eat off your child’s plate. I’m pretty sure most of the weight I gained as a new mom was from finishing my own meal, then eating whatever my child left behind in an effort not to waste food. But probably even worse are the times we don’t even have time to make our own food, so we desperately scarf whatever our kids didn’t eat from their meals. Comedian and dad Patton Oswalt nailed the phenomenon this week when he tweeted the details of his breakfast: Just had my usual breakfast -- the mini-pancakes & cantaloupe slices my daughter didn't eat as I rush out the door to get her to school.
