VW's new electric car goes further and costs less than the Tesla 3 or Chevy Bolt

Volkswagen is still recovering from the diesel scandal that has tarnished its "green" credibility, but the automaker hopes to move past its woes with a new range of electric cars that set to hit the streets in 2020. VW has just previewed one of those first electric cars with the debut of the new I.D. electric concept at the 2016 Paris Motor Show and it has a longer range and lower price tag than its direct competiors.
