Tim Tebow took his next steps toward trying to reach Major League Baseball by going 1-for-5 with a solo home run in his first instructional league game as a member of the New York Mets against the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday. Any doubters were silenced, at least in Tebow's first at-bat. The former Heisman Trophy winner hit a home run on the first pitch he saw, driving the ball over the wall in left-center field.
