Trump isn't the only reason the Mexican peso has been getting creamed

The Mexican peso has become the most talked-about currency in the foreign-exchange market in recent days, as the US presidential race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton tightened up. Trump's tough talk on Mexico in terms of both trade and immigration has caused the peso to tumble as much as 8.7% since the middle of August to as low as 19.8772 to the dollar. The losses accelerated as he gained ground in national polls.
