NXP Soars 18% as WSJ Reports Qualcomm Talking About Buying Them

Shares of chip maker NXP Semiconductors (NXPI) are up $15.05, or over 18%, at $97.29, after The Wall Street Journal’s Eyk Henning and Dana Mattioli reported a short while ago that Qualcomm (QCOM) has been talking with NXP about buying the company, a deal that would be worth $30 billion, citing multiple unnamed sources. Qualcomm shares are up $4.09, or almost 7%, at $67.54.
