Wings receive third pick in WNBA draft but chance for Dallas to trade up remains

The Dallas Wings received the No. 3 pick in the WNBA draft in the league’s draft lottery Wednesday night. San Antonio, which had the best odds, won the lottery and Washington jumped the Wings to get the second-overall pick. “You never know how the balls are going to bounce,” coach Fred Williams said, “but we can get a nice pick there at the three position.” The WNBA draft will take place in April.
