Euless runner takes steps to help homeless

Ultra runner and triathlete Eloy "EJ" Gonzalez's passion for running led him to become involved with the national nonprofit Back on My Feet. "If people want to better their lives, I'd like to give them the opportunity to do so," he said. "Back on My Feet is a way to open the door to change for people." Gonzalez, 41, of Euless, is the volunteer course director for Saturday's Rugged & Raw 10K/20K Trail Run, which benefits Back on My Feet.
