TV Club: Woody Allen is in typically funny, creaky form in the Crisis In Six Scenes premiere

On its face, Woody Allen doing a TV show for Amazon feels very much like a sign of the changing times – or a sign that times changed several years ago, and even bubbled-off members of the media world are starting to catch up. The famously (and sometimes detrimentally) prolific Allen, who has made a theatrically released film every year for approximately forty years, seems like the kind of guy who purports not to watch much TV besides Knicks games and probably doesn’t pay much attention the shifting paradigms of TV production.
