J.J. Watt Injury Update: Texans Star Undergoes Season-Ending Back Surgery

Houston Texans star J.J. Watt underwent surgery Thursday to repair a herniated disk in his back, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. John McClain of the Houston Chronicle confirmed Schefter's report, adding the procedure has ended the defensive end's season. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported the Texans knew Watt's 2016 campaign was finished and that surgery was the best course instead of rest or rehab.
