England players received postcards from Sam Allardyce on Thursday describing the “beginning of our journey,” two days after the 58-year-old was dismissed as manager of the national team. The Guardian reports that a message of goodwill was sent out to every member of the squad that participated in the 1-0 victory over Slovakia in Trnava at the start of September.
