Iconic Miami Doughnut Brand Plans Little Havana Shop

Velvet Creme heads to Calle Ocho One of Miami’s beloved doughnut brands, Velvet Creme, has been plotting a return to the Miami market after a 15 year hiatus — and it seems to have finally found the spot to do so. The Miami New Times is reporting that the brand is taking up shop in Little Havana, a few doors down from Ball & Chain. This brings the brand full circle, as its first shop opened on Calle Ocho in 1947, right in the same area as the new one will be.
