Man Who Comforted Mom Who Died in Hoboken Crash Was Raised to Be 'Brave'

Post by Liz Alterman. Most of us hope that in a crisis we'd be brave enough to step up and comfort others in their final moments. One man did just that. In the wake of Thursday's deadly train crash in Hoboken, New Jersey, Rahman Perkins entered the terminal and comforted Fabiola Bittar de Kroon, who'd just dropped her 18-month-old daughter at daycare, as she drew her last breaths.
