2,383 renters applied to live in this affordable Hollywood housing complex

All those applications for 66 units Last spring, the Los Angeles Unified School District announced it was teaming up with developer Abode Communities to build workforce housing that would be open to its employees as well as local families. The project, called Selma Community Housing, is nearly complete now — and all units are already spoken for. Megan Folland, a rep for Abode Communities, tells Curbed that Abode received a staggering 2,383 applications in all for the complex's 66 apartments, so it’s no surprise that all of the units are leased up.
