Raytheon's Plan to Protect Many of the U.S. Navy's Most Critical Warships

Kris Osborn Security, Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile Block II has some very impressive capabilities.  The ESSM Block 2 will protect destroyers, amphibs and carriers by destroying approaching enemy fire such as anti-ship cruise missiles. The U.S. Navy and numerous NATO partners are developing a new, high-tech ship defense weapon designed to identify, track and destroy incoming enemy anti-ship cruise missiles and other threats, service officials explained.
