Josh Norman penalized for 'shooting bow and arrow'

Here’s a new one: Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman drew a penalty on Sunday for, and we quote, “shooting a bow and arrow.” Not literally, of course. Shooting a real bow and arrow inside FedEx Field would result in probable criminal prosecution, likely injury to a fan, and perhaps a one-game suspension from the NFL. No, Norman got popped for 15 yards for miming a bow-and-arrow shot under the NFL’s increasingly rigid, and increasingly annoying, rules against any kind of free player expression that might hurt any other player’s feelings or appear less than insurance-agency-level professional.
