Barry Bonds Reportedly Let Go By Marlins 

The Marlins will not retain Barry Bonds next year, per a report from Jon Heyman. Bonds signed on as Miami’s hitting coach before the season started, and it was his first MLB job since his last season playing for the Giants in 2007. Some of Miami’s numbers did improve during this injury-plagued season—they ended the year with the fourth-best batting average in MLB despite losing Dee Gordon for half of the season—but their OPS was the fourth-worst in baseball.
