Britain To Opt Out Of Human Rights Law In Wartime

Britain is planning to opt out of some international human rights law during wartime, the U.K. defense secretary will say today. The proposal would see the U.K. withdraw from some sections of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) before future military action. The plan is aimed at addressing media and public criticism of legal action taken against British troops after they return home.
