Shopify a Star of Goldman’s ‘Emerging Software’; Hubspot Has Risks

Goldman Sachs’s Jesse Hulsing today initiates coverage of several software names, including Shopify (SHOP) and Hubspot (HUBS), crowning the former a star of “emerging software,” while Hubspot has some risks of slowing growth. Hulking assigns Shopify a Buy rating, while Hubspot, Veeva (VEEV) software, and Guidewire (GWRE) are all rated Neutral. Assigning a $53 price target to Shopify, Hulsing writes that "Our thesis is that SHOP is positioned to become the dominant platform for SMB commerce, driving sustained gross add growth and increasing share of its customer’s wallet.
