Veeva CEO on Cloud, Skunkworks, and the ‘Adjacent Possible’

Peter Gassner, chief executive of cloud computing software maker Veeva (VEEV), was in town last week for the company’s analyst day meeting, and was kind enough to stop by Barron’s for a chat, accompanied by the company’s chief marketing officer, Nitsa Zuppas. Gassner was quitely upbeat, not triumphal, though his shares had surged a month earlier when the company beat Q2 expectations, and beat with its outlook.
