Hundreds protest in Istanbul after raid on pro-Kurdish channel

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Istanbul late Tuesday to denounce the raid earlier on a prominent pro-Kurdish television channel, shut down under the controversial state of emergency. IMC TV channel was raided by police who stopped broadcasts despite protests by staff in the studio, its own live pictures showed. It was one of several media outlets ordered to be closed last week under the three-month state of emergency imposed days after the failed July coup.
