I had to pay $39.35 to hold my baby after he was born. At one hospital, a new parent can opt for skin-to-skin contact after delivery, but they are going to have to pay for it. New dad and reddit user halfthrottle learned this the hard way after receiving an itemized hospital bill for his newborn's September 4 birth and posted a photo of the charges. The parents were billed a total $13,280.
