Who Will Benefit From South Korea’s Solar-Plus-Storage Incentive?

An incentive for hybrid solar-storage plants is expected to boost battery demand in South Korea -- but it's unclear whether companies outside South Korea will benefit much from the move. The Korea Herald recently reported that the South Korean government was planning to introduce incentives for utility-scale solar-plus-storage installations from next year. “Those who install the energy storage system at their solar power plants will be given additional points on assessment of their renewable energy certificates,” said the report.
