NJ Governor Candidate: Ditch Hedge Funds In Pension System

At the moment, former U.S. ambassador Phil Murphy is the only declared candidate with his hat in the ring to take over for New Jersey governor Chris Christie in 2018, and he’s no hedge fund fan. On Tuesday Murphy said that the state’s Division of Investment should “get out of the hedge fund business” as a strategy to fix the problems in New Jersey’s pension and benefit fund.
