Bahamas Cruise Rerouted To Pier On The West Side Highway Due To Hurricane Matthew

A state of emergency has been declared in parts of Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas as Hurricane Matthew rolls further north after killing at least five people in Haiti and displacing thousands on the island. The 700-mile-wide Category 4 hurricane also destroyed dozens of homes in the easternmost part of Cuba, though spared it the wider devastation that was feared, and is now bearing down on the Bahamas.
