Google's new phones won't solve Android's fundamental problems (GOOG)

Every time someone asks me to recommend a new phone, I always have the same answer. Go with the iPhone. It's been a tougher question to answer recently as Android phones have approached and in some cases beaten the iPhone in terms of design and capability. But there's one major thing that keeps me recommending the iPhone over any Android phone: the iOS ecosystem. It's the only platform with the best developer support and consistent updates with new features throughout the life of your device.
