Janus-Henderson Deal Could Lead To Long-Term Benefits: Fitch

Janus Capital Group (JNS)’s merger with Henderson Group got Wells Fargo’s approval and Gabelli & Co. thinks that the stock is still a buy. Today, Fitch Ratings is weighing on the proposed deal. Fitch called the move an “understandable response to on-going asset flow and fee pressure on active investment managers,” and believes that if it’s successfully executed, it could result in positive momentum for the company’s ratings, although that would likely be over the longer-term.
