Twitter Auction: Disney, Google Said To Fly Away; Stock Dips Sharply

Twitter may be feeling pangs of empty-nest syndrome this morning as shares in the company fell by over 15% in pre-market trading. That was following a Recode report that Disney has opted not to pursue a purchase of the social media platform, and that Apple is an unlikely bidder. Recode separately said Google would not seek to acquire Twitter either; both stories cited unnamed sources familiar with the companies.
