BlackRock Fee Cuts Will Help Its Market Share, But At A Price

Earlier this week, BlackRock (BLK) announced it would cut fees on 15 of its ETFs, including popular funds like the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) and the iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG). The lower fees are good news for investors, and may also help BlackRock solidify its top spot in the ETF industry. Wells Fargo’s Christopher Harris agrees with the last point, writing in a note today that the move should help BlackRock defend (or gain) market share in the space.
