Gold Slumps For Fifth Straight Day To Four-Month Low

Thursday was another down day for gold prices. Gold for October delivery lost $15.40 per troy ounce, or 1.22%, to $1249.80, its fifth consecutive session of losses. Over that period gold has lost $71.90 or 5.44%, and today marked its lowest settle value since early June.
