An Election Season Letter to My Parents

Dear Mom and Dad, and Step-mom and Step-dad, I don't want to minimize how much I treasure our relationships, but I'm most excited right now about the prospect of being able to influence four votes in the upcoming U.S. presidential election. You've been wonderful parents and you know how grateful I am to you for providing me with such a sturdy foundation. I haven't asked you for anything in a long time.
