Newswire: Batwoman is getting her own comic series again

In advance of this weekend’s New York Comic Con, DC Comics has announced its latest title to The Hollywood Reporter—Batwoman. The character was reintroduced in 2006, after appearing in Batman comics in the ’50s and ’60s. (Ironically, she was introduced in 1956 as a love interest for Batman to combat gay panic surrounding his relationship with the Boy Wonder, but reintroduced in DC’s 52 series as openly gay.
