Broadcom, Western Digital Set to Ride Cloud Spending, Says RBC

RBC Capital Markets analysts Amit Daryanani and Mitch Steves this morning offer an update on how much will be spent by Alphabet’s (GOOGL) Google, Amazon (AMZN), Apple (AAPL), and other cloud computing titans to build out their infrastructure. The two analysts offer up the findings of their “tracker,” a survey of capital spending on cloud by the big names, and find that it slowed a little bit in Q3:  Cloud service provider capex grew 8% q/q in Q2 and 18% y/y in our tracker in Q2, while Q3 is expected to grow +2% q/q and grow +10% y/y.
