How Hurricane Matthew affects NASCAR’s schedule at Charlotte this weekend

The Sprint Cup race remains set for Saturday night, while Friday night’s Xfinity Series race has been shifted to Sunday. Rain originating from Hurricane Matthew has prompted NASCAR to cancel all on-track activity scheduled for Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The Xfinity Series race slated for Friday night has been rescheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. ET. Saturday night's Sprint Cup Series race, the first event of the quarterfinal round of NASCAR's playoffs, remains set for 7 p.
