Gold Ends Week Down 5%; More Pain To Come?

Gold was down once again on Friday, ending the week down nearly 5%. Gold for October delivery fell just 0.07% today, its sixth straight day of losses, but for the week it’s lost $64.40 per troy ounce, or 4.90%, to $1248.90. That’s the biggest on week net and percentage loss in more than three years. Over the last week it’s down 6.6%, and the precious metal has ended lower three weeks in the past month.
