If you think New York Comic Con is still just for fanboys, you’re mistaken. Yes, self-identifying nerds attend the celebration in glorious abundance every year, but what struck this first time Comic-Con-goer was how many families of all kinds were in attendance. Trust us, once you’ve seen one toddler roll around on the floor of the Javits Center in a BB-8 costume while his mother, dressed as Rey from “Star Wars,” furiously chases after him, you’ll be convinced of the convention’s universal appeal.
