For her 18th birthday Abby Van Metre opened a box and found ghosts of loved ones long gone. A letter from her beloved uncle John, killed in a 2013 car accident, ended with "I'm undoubtedly standing nearby laughing tremendously," which brought a river of tears to Abby's eyes.
