Midcentury post and beam perched above a creek asks $1.45M

A house that doubles as a bridge This elegant home also functions as a bridge, of sorts, crossing over a creek bed less than a half mile west of the Arroyo Seco as it cuts through Pasadena. The (almost) unique design is by architect JW Putnam, who also designed three other creek spanning houses in the area—including one that hit the market in 2014 asking $1.5 million. This particular house, constructed in 1955, has clearly been updated over the years, but its primary design features appear to have been left intact.
