Y Combinator alumnus opens up thousands of 3D property tours to virtual reality headsets

SILICON VALLEY — Sunnyvale-based 3D-capture startup Matterport last week launched CoreVR, a feature that makes it easy to port its catalog of 250,000 3D room tours to virtual reality headsets. The 3D camera from the Y Combinator alumnus (Winter 2012 batch) is popular with real estate agents, architects and carpenters interested in capturing 360-degree images of a room, home or an entire building.
