A Few Words About Walking

In September 2015, the US Surgeon General issued a call to action promoting "Walking and Walkable Communities." That initiative is named "Step It Up!" and is commemorating its one-year anniversary with a Twitter Chat on Tuesday October 11 and a hashtag event on Wednesday October 12. The Surgeon General will co-host the Twitter Chat on walking and the Step It Up! challenge with the President's Council on Fitness, Sports, and Nutrition, America Walks, and Safe Routes to School.
