Some Silicon Valley elites think we may be living in the matrix

Decades ago, the world was introduced to The Matrix, a place where people experience life events in a simulated world while their corporeal selves venture no further than their designated pods. It turns out, that may actually be happening — but fear not, help is on the way. News of the impending rescue was revealed in a recent New Yorker article. While discussing a different tech matter, author Tad Friend slipped in a reference to the ongoing effort to liberate us from our simulated lives.
