New MoPho Expansion Maypop Heads To Warehouse District

Chef Michael Gulotta joins The Paramount lineup in 2016 Another huge coming attraction is in store for the South Market District this year, folks. Chef Michael Gulotta and team are opening a new Southeast Asian-inspired American eatery Maypop in the former Ursa Major space in The Paramount, Ian McNulty reports this week. The venture will be somewhat of a refined MoPho, taking a cue from the Mid City restaurant’s numerous creative specials that meld the flavors of Southeast Asia and Louisiana, and adding in housemade noodle dishes like “house-made tapioca starch noodles tossed in a wok with curry,” per Todd Price.
