Bancroft, Wis.-based grower-shipper RPE Inc. plans to donate a portion of its profits on specially marked bags of Ruby Sensation and Honey Gold potatoes to nonprofit Katie’s Krops, which encourages the creation and maintenance of community gardens to feed those in need.
This is the fourth year RPE has partnered with Katie’s Krops, according to a news release.
The potatoes, sold under RPE’s specialty brand Tasteful Selections, are available October through January.
David Tonso, who was co-owner and acting chief executive officer of Canon Potato Co., and Matt Glowczewski have been named to the sales staff at Bancroft, Wis.-based RPE Inc.
RPE, Bancroft, Wis., and Tasteful Selections are returning the generosity of Yolo County, Calif., with a 20,000-pound potato donation.
