Seattle Activists Arrested After Joining Attempt to Shut Down Four Tar Sands Pipelines

by Sydney Brownstone Seattle Raging Granny Annette Klapstein (left) and 350 Seattle organizer Emily Johnston (right) were reportedly arrested this morning after a protest that led to the shutdown of an Enbridge pipeline in Minnesota. Climate Direct Action This morning, three Seattle-based activists attempted to manually shut down the flow of tar sands oil in two separate pipelines in North Dakota and Minnesota, according to the activists' press contact for the Climate Disobedience Action Fund.
