Scary Clowns Send Ronald McDonald into Hiding

Ronald McDonald looks too creepy for comfort these days. A nationwide rash of real and fake reports of violence by people in clown costumes has prompted McDonald's executives to cut down on appearances by the burger giant's clown mascot, the company announced Tuesday. Executives are being "thoughtful in respect to Ronald McDonald's participation in community events" due to the "current climate around clown sightings in communities," the company said.
